Baker moved to Cuthbert as a senior when his father, Kalvin Baker was named menâs basketball coach of the Red Devils. He played his junior season at Marion County and averaged 21 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. He also helped lead the Marion County Eagles to the Class A state tournament.
His junior season, he moved to Marion County. Baker had an outstanding season on the basketball court as well as on the football field at Marion County. As much success as the Bakers had at Marion County, Kalvin Baker saw a better opportunity for himself and for his son at Randolph Clay.
