Judging from on The Cyanide and Happiness Show‘s original Kickstarter campaign, there will be nine more episodes in season one, plus “a special eleventh depressing episode.” In addition to the show, the Cyanide and Happiness channel will continue to feature regular shorts to go along with daily webcomic updates. With all that activity, Cyanide and Happiness fans will be well sated over the next few months.
Cyanide and Happiness provokes various reactions among the readers: some of them are shocked, some burst a gut, but still the comic is spreading all over the web and gaining more and more popularity. The main characters are: bitchy Charles and his nagging girlfriend, licensed maniac Dr. Baby, clumsy superheroes Seizure Man, Super Jerk and many others.
In 2010, author Dave McElfatrick, a Northern Ireland native, started a petition for a visa into the United States, in order to be with the other writers to produce more animated shorts. The petition garnered over 132,000 signatures in less than three weeks. On September 1, 2010, it was officially announced that Dave qualified for the visa that would allow him to enter the United States to work on more comics and animated shorts with Wilson, DenBleyker, and Melvin. As of August 31, 2014, Matt Melvin announced that he is no longer part of Cyanide and Happiness.
